In-Vivo The Creek Series:

The term in vivo is the study of within a living organism. For the artist that living organism is the Creek, the series of work is the study of life and its activities within this urban setting of present day Dubai. The Creek is an affirmative symbol of life. Everyday activities are the lifeblood of the city, the chugging of abras, the sense of journey, destination and the joining of people and place. The Creek Series is inspired by ordinary scenes of the coming and going of its people. The use of public transport is an important element of the creek as the abras are the source that unite the city bringing tourists, office, souk workers, labourers and other residents together in the centre of commercial bustle. Everyone sitting side by side reminds us of our interdependence and our sense of place
